Edward Laurier Lessard's Obituary
Edward Laurier Lessard, 77, Wildwood, FL. passed away on October 9, 2014 at his residence in Wildwood, Florida surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Lessard was born on October 27, 1936 in Berlin, New Hampshire to his parents Wilfred and Bertha Lessard. He worked at Morneau Movers for 20 years while working at Crown Vantage and retired after 42 years in 1996. He was a member of Good Shepherd Church in Berlin, New Hampshire and St. Vincent de Paul in The Villages, Florida. He was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles for 56 years and played hockey in New Hampshire for the Berlin Maroons from 1955 to 1963 and was also an avid golfer and was competitive in various sports especially pool, horseshoes and cards. He enjoyed time with family and loved teaching and playing patiently with his grandchildren and was known to sing at many family gatherings and other outings. He will be remembered for his genuine demeanor and easy going character. He is survived by his loving wife of over 58 years Louise Yevette Groleau-Lessard of Wildwood, FL; two daughters: Diane Elder of Wildwood, FL and Lise (Mark) Rivard of Gorham, NH; three sons: Leo (Meg) Lessard of Southlake, TX, Rene Lessard of Chesapeake, VA and Mark Lessard and companion Karin Karlsen of Sackets Harbor, NY; five grandchildren: Lisa Dodson, Jay Michaud, Amy Michaud, Ginny Davilla, Kellan Lessard, Josh Rivard and Hanna Rivard; one great granddaughter: Isabella Rae Hartman. In Lieu of flowers donations may be madt to Cornerstone Hospice in care of The Villages Hospice House in Edward"s loving memory. On-line condolences may be shared by visiting www.bankspagetheus.com.
