Edward Phillip Gatch, 59, The Villages, FL. went to be with the Lord on July 19, 2014 at the Villages Hospice House under the loving care of family and staff of Hospice. Mr. Gatch was born on September 24, 1954 in Richmond, Virginia to his parents James N. Gatch and Frances Wrenn Gatch. Mr. Gatch had been employed with A & P Food Stores as the Director of Grocery Merchandising. He moved to The Villages 4 years ago from Ellijay, Georgia and was of the Baptist faith. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the post Vietnam era. He enjoyed golfing, being with friends and family and was very sociable. He was always up for a good time. He is survived by his two loving daughters: Lainie Powell (Pete) of Atlanta, GA and Cassie Gatch of Peachtree City, GA; his father: James N. Gatch of Summerville, FL; four brothers: James Gatch, Jr. of Bradenton, FL, Charles Gatch of Summerville, FL, Mike Gatch of Birmingham, AL and Don Gatch of Fort Worth, TX; two grandchildren: Jack Powell and Wrenn Powell; several loving nieces and nephews.
