Edward R Crawfoot's Obituary
LT. Edward R. Crawfoot, US Navy, Retired, 95, of Sebring, FL passed away Wednesday, March 18, 2015. LT. Crawfoot was born February 5, 1920 in Risingsun, OH to Dean and Mary Crawfoot.  He was a retired LT from the U.S. Navy, serving in the submarine squadron for 28 years from 1939 – 1967 and a veteran of WWII, Korea and Vietnam. He earned the title Navy “Mustang” for becoming a Commissioned Officer, from Naval Ranks.  He also worked for and retired from 3 Mile Island Nuclear Plant. He was a Florida Snowbird beginning in 1986, and moved to Sebring permanently in 1990 from Carlisle, PA.  LT. Crawfoot was a member of the Covenant Presbyterian Church, Military Officers Association, Submarine Squadron #6 Smoke Boat Sisters, the U.S. Submarine Veterans of WWII, a lifetime Mason and a long time member of the
ELKS. He was an avid golfer, winning many tournaments and awards.  Survivors include his loving wife of 25 years, Altrudes; sons, Kevin Crawfoot (Hope) of Dillsburg, PA and Brian Bouchard of Canton, OH.  He was preceded in death by his first wife, Miriam. Family and friends will celebrate his life 3:00pm, Sunday, March 22, 2015 in the Covenant Presbyterian Church, 4500 Sun N Lake Boulevard, Sebring, FL. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to your local Shiners’ organization in Ed’s name.  .
