Dorothy A. Beckwith's Obituary
Dorothy A. Beckwith, 97, Ocala, Florida went to be with her Lord of October 13, 2023 at HCA Florida Ocala Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Dorothy was born on February 7, 1926 in Greensburg, Pennsylvania to her parents Carl Gressler and Selina (Crine) Gressler.
She was a former Machine Operator in the Paper Manufacturing Industry. Dorothy moved to Ocala, Florida a year ago from New Port Richey, Florida and had lived in Largo, Florida from 2001 to 2005 when she moved down originally from Greensburg, Pennsylvania. She was of the Christian Faith and was a member of Calvary Chapel Worship Center in New Port Richey, Florida. She loved to volunteer at Calvary Chapel helping the less fortunate in her community.
Dorothy is survived by her loving children, two sons: Will Beckwith of Greensburg, PA and David Beckwith and his wife Cheryl of Pinetta, FL; a daughter: Sharon Loyacona and her husband Pat of Ocala, FL; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews.
A Gathering of Family and Friends will take place on Tuesday, October 17, 2023 from 1:00PM to 2:00PM with a Celebration of Life Funeral Service to follow at 2:00PM at Banks, Page-Theus Funeral Home Chapel in Wildwood, Florida with Burial to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Leesburg, Florida.
The family requests donations to be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at https://www.stjude.org .
