Dorothy Baker Jones' Obituary
Dorothy B. Jones, 86, of Oxford passed away Saturday, November 03, 2012 in Ocala. She was born October 15, 1926, in Dunnellon to Robert Nichols and Della (Proctor) Baker and has lived in this area all of her life. She was a retired secretary and past teacher for the Sumter County School Board. She is a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church of Oxford. Survivors include her daughters, Janet (Russell) Stephens of Oxford and Sherry Johnson of Steinhatchee; sister, Edna Caruthers of Oxford; grandson, Jonathan Beasley of Oxford; 2 step grandchildren; 10 step great-grandchildren along with many nieces and nephews. Dorothy was preceded in death by her loving husband, Captain Thomas “T-bone” Jones. Visitation for Mrs. Jones will be held 6:00 – 8:00pm, Monday, November 5, 2012 in the Banks/Page-Theus Chapel with the funeral service 3:00pm, Tuesday, November 6, 2012 in the Immanuel Baptist Church, 8015 SE 180th St (CR 102), Oxford, Fl. Interment will follow the service in Nichols Cemetery, Oxford.
