Park, Donald Rae's Obituary
Donald Park, Sr., 89, of The Villages, Florida, passed away peacefully on December 20, 2025, in Ocala, Florida. He was born in Detroit, Michigan, to the late Payeton Pierce Park and Mildred Mary (Olmstead) Park.
Don lived in New Baltimore, Michigan, with his late wife, Donna, before relocating to The Villages, Florida in 2015.
He was a boater at heart, and the years spent on the water in Michigan with the Y-Knot Boat Club he said were some of the best years of his life. He was a proud United States Army veteran, an active member of the American Legion Post #347 in Lady Lake, Florida, as well as the Fraternal Order of Eagles and the Loyal Order of the Moose in The Villages.
Don retired from the Ford Motor Company after more than 25 years of dedicated service at the Van Dyke Assembly Plant, where he worked as a hi-low repairman. He took great pride in his work ethic and the skills he honed over a lifetime.
He is survived by his children, Donald Park, Jr. and his wife, Kendra, of Clinton Township, Michigan, and Deanna Davis and her husband, Al Walker, of Pensacola, Florida; his brother, Gary Park and his wife, Sharon, of Mesa, Arizona; four grandchildren, Chelle, Payton, Ava, and Grayson; as well as four great-grandchildren; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Don was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved wife, Donna Park.
In Don’s loving memory, the family requests that donations be made to the American Legion Post #347 in Lady Lake, Florida.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew him and by his devoted family.
A Celebration of Life memorial service will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are entrusted to Banks/Page-Theus Funerals and Cremations, Wildwood. Online condolences may be shared at https://www.bankspagetheus.com
