Donald Lowrey's Obituary
Donald Lowrey passed away at the Hospice in The Villages on August 21, 2010. He was born in Felda, Florida on March 6, 1928 to the late Arthur and Lena Lowrey. He was the youngest of 7 children; Myrtis Helen, Arthur Earl, Andrew Lafayette, Paul Clevelend, Jack Copeland, and Teddy Ray.In 1951 he married Dolores Tack and they had three children; Debra, Michael and Cindy.In 1969 Don retired to Orlando, Florida after 22 years in the US Air Force. He then worked for the Winter Park Telephone Company for 13 years. After retiring from the phone company he and his wife moved to Tillman's Hammock in Oxford, Sumter County, Florida.He enjoyed fishing, football and old country music.Don is preceded in death by his parents, all his siblings and two of his children, Michael Lowrey and Cindy Fisher.Survivors include his wife of 59 years Dolores, daughter Debra Edwards, four grandsons; and three great grandchildren.
