Donald E. Currie's Obituary
Donald E. Currie, age 83, of Wildwood, passed away Monday, February 1, 2010. Mr. Currie was born in Coleman and has been a lifelong resident of this area. He was a U.S. Navy WWII Veteran, and had retired as an engineer for CSX Railroad. Mr. Currie was a member of the Oxford Assembly of God Church, the American Legion Post 18 and the Wildwood Masonic Lodge #92, F&AM. Survivors include his loving wife of 32 years, Nila; sons, Neil Currie of Wildwood and Keith Currie of Texas; daughters, Donna (Dewayne) Thomas of Sharon, Tn. and Karen (Bob) Shank of Tampa; stepdaughter, Phyllis McDonald of Pittsboro, In.; sister, Virginia Starnes of Cassia; 16 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends 4:00 - 6:00pm, Wednesday, February 3, 2010, in the funeral home, with the funeral service being held 11:00 am, Thursday, February 4, 2010, in the Banks/Page-Theus Chapel. Interment will follow the service in Adamsville Cemetery.
