Donald Gene Boger's Obituary
Don Boger of the Villages passed away quietly on December 23, 2025. He had lived in the Central Florida area for 20 years, mostly recently in the Villages for the past four years. Don was 88 years old.
Born in Indianapolis, Indiana to Margaret and Ray Boger, he went to local schools, culminating with his graduation from Shortridge High School in 1955. While at Shortridge he met Royale Crull and they married in the Fall of 1955. This began a nearly 70 year marriage that ended unfortunately with Royale's passing earlier this year.
Don worked in the offices of several commercial bakeries for much of his working life, progressing from bookkeeper to office manager to plant manager over many years and bakery locations, as promotions in that day nearly always led to a relocation. During those years, Don and Royale raised four children, Steve, Larry, Diane and Carol. The family has grown from the original couple to include 13 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. While Larry pre-deceased Don and Royale, Steve Boger and his wife Diane Boger, daughter Diane Boston (husband, Damon Boston pre-deceased), daughter Carol Harper and daughter-in-law Christina Boger survive and mourn his passing.
Don and Royale enjoyed travel and spent their early retired years traveling the US full-time in a camper. They described these years as "Don and Royale's Marvelous Adventure".
Don wished to be cremated. With his ashes and memorial items, the family will hold private services at a time yet to be determined.
