Dixie L. Mills' Obituary
Dixie L. Mills, 92, Wildwood, Florida went to be with the Lord on December 16, 2017 at The Villages Hospice House, The Villages, Florida. Mrs. Mills was born on December 17, 1924 in Elba, Alabama to her parents Kinnie W. Adkison and Martha (Calhoun) Adkison. She was a longtime resident of Lake and Sumter Counties. She was a devoted member of Calvary Baptist Church in Fruitland Park, Florida. She enjoyed taking care of her family and working alongside her husband Benny in many of their family projects. She is survived by her loving husband of 51 years: Benny Mills of Wildwood, FL; two sons: Kennie (Arlene) Still of Greenville, SC and Stephen (Cindy) Mills of Wildwood, FL; three daughters: Jan Owens of Leesburg, FL, Glynda Rogers of Fruitland Park, FL and Melodie (David) Hudson of Leesburg, FL; a sister: Alma Spinks of Enterprise, AL; fourteen grandchildren; twenty four great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren and several nieces. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at 11:00AM at Calvary Baptist Church, Fruitland Park, FL with a visitation beginning at 10:00AM. The burial will be private. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Cornerstone Hospice at 2445 Lane Park Road, Tavares, FL 32778 in Dixie’s loving memory.
