I met Dennis in 2006, in Quincy Fl, at my first ww2 Reenactment. Dennis was setting up to cook for the event , He was Setting up In his normal demeanor, I said to him “I’m here to help , whatcha you want me to do “, Blown away by the comment , From that minute on we became close friends and became kp buddies for years to come. His love of cooking , instilled me to create my own kitchen for the hobby. Time slips away so quickly. Only 8 months ago he was at my place in Alabama reminiscing about our hobby and Bearing a gift as always. No doubt , he’s standing by the pearly gates , in a 21 gun salute formation welcoming fighting me home. As a old ballad once said.
“ Old soliders never die they simply fade away. “
Dennis will never fade in our memories.
