Skinner, Debra P.'s Obituary
Debra P. “Debbie” Skinner, 74, passed away on April 27, 2025 at Mariposa Hospice House in The Villages, Florida under the care of Staff at Cornerstone Hospice. Debbie was born November 27, 1950 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania to her parents Doyle Skinner and Eloise (Strawhecker) Skinner.
Debbie was a retired Health and Physical Education Teacher who had taught in the Philadelphia Public School System. Debbie was an athlete who medaled in track in the Junior Olympics and was a Pitcher on a championship softball team in her 30’s. She was a quilter and a member of Busy Bees Quilting Guild. Debbie was of the Christian faith and a founding member of Open Circle MCC Church in Belleview, Florida.
Debbie leaves behind her life partner of 45 years: Merry Headman of The Villages, FL; Her three sisters in love: Caroline Headman, Ruth Headman and Gail Erwin; Her two brothers in love: Tom Headman and Kirk Erwin; Her two brothers: Dennis Skinner of Pennsylvania and Douglas Skinner of New Jersey; several loving nieces and nephews and her beloved dog “Molly”.
Graveside Funeral Services will be held on Friday, May 23, 2025 at 11:00AM at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Leesburg, Florida.
