David Alan Ridgway's Obituary
David Alan Ridgway, 79, of Belleview, passed away Wednesday, October 1, 2014. Mr. Ridgway was born September 19, 1935 in Valparaiso, Indiana, to the late George W. and Iris (Burnett) Ridgway. He was in the US Navy during the Korean War and retired from Verizon Telephone. David was of the Lutheran faith and belonged to many organizations including Orak Temple Shrine in Michigan City, IN, Scottish Rite Valley of South Bend, IN, Porter Masonic Lodge #137, Valparaiso, IN, American Legion #214, Fruitland Park, 40 et 8, Lady Lake, Golden Eagle in Lansing, MI and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. He moved to Florida in 1998 from Lansing, MI. Survivors include his sons, Timothy Alan Ridgway and Jon Andrew Ridgway both of Bloomingdale, MI; brother, R. Glen Ridgway of McCormick, SC; 2 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren and his devoted companion, Jean Hartless of Belleview. A graveside service will be held 11:00AM, Tuesday, October 7, 2014, at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Marion County, 3231 SW 34th Ave, Ocala, FL 34474.
