David Lewis' Obituary
David Lewis, 76, Oxford, FL went to be with the Lord on January 1, 2014 under the loving care of his family at his residence in Oxford, Florida. Mr. Lewis was born on July 10, 1937 in Oxford, Florida to his parents Keith Butler Lewis and Katie (Crenshaw) Lewis. Mr. Lewis was retired Foreman for the City of Ocala Parks and Recreation Dept. He was also the owner of Lewis Real Pit Barbecue in Oxford. He was a lifelong resident of Oxford, and was of the Christian faith. F bhHe enjoyed Fishing and cookouts especially fish fry’s he loved being surrounded by his family. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years: Rose Lewis of Oxford, FL; two sons: Warren “Karen” Lewis of Winder, GA and Larry “Nancy” Lewis of Fruitland Park, FL; a daughter: Carol “James” Bolling Norton, VA; three brothers: Joe Lewis of Belleview, FL, Moe Lewis of Minden, LA and Mack Lewis of Ocala, FL; two sisters: Loraine Osteen of Summerfield and Mary Riecker of Jaspen, IN; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son Brian Lewis. A Graveside Funeral Service will be held on Monday, January 6, 2014 at 11:00AM at Pine Level Cemetery, Oxford, FL. A Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 5, 2014 from 3:00PM to 5:00PM at Banks, Page-Theus Funeral Home, Wildwood, Florida. On-line condolences may be shared by visiting www.bankspagetheus.com.
