To the family I'm so sorry for your loss. I know Dave loved you all dearly. Dave, Alot of years have passed us by and I still see your blue eyes and that smile... With deepest sympathy to Maxine, Mel, Cami and Bret. I was so saddened to find out about the passing of Dave. He truly was one of a kind! His smile, personality and love for his family radiated. I think he could make friends with about anyone. He was just that type of person. I feel blessed to have been friends with him and to have had him in my life back in the 90's. I got to know David during the last few months of his life. He became a great friend to me. He was always so thankful for everything he was given and everyone in his life. I knew Dave for several years before his passing, We had dated but also had become good friends. I learned he loved the ocean, was always had a positive outlook on life and loved text messaging as well. He was intelligent and could always make me laugh when I was down. We shared many things in common and also were very much alike. I found a poem I would like to share with you. God saw you getting tired And a cure was not meant to be So he put his arms around you and whispered come to me. As we saw you pass away Although we loved you deeply We could not make you stay Your golden heart stopped beating Hard working hands at rest God broke our hearts to prove to us He only takes the best. HI, and so sorry. I knew Dave by fishing at the Findlay reservoir. We had many, many good times there. Dave was always positive with his health and did not let it get in the way of going fishing. As it turns out our birthdays are 6 days apart,I always seemed to conect with him, but was baffald why. He had many freinds out there and I'am sure we all will miss him alot.
