Dalisay V. Amador's Obituary
Dalisay V. Amador, 80, of The Villages passed away Friday, January 19, 2018. Mrs. Amador was born August 24, 1937 in Quezon Province, Philippines to Noli and Rosario (Deveza) Veloro. She received her Masters Degree from the University of Iowa and was a registered Dietician. Dalisay taught at the University of Santo Thomas before becoming a homemaker and raising her children. She wintered here from Cleveland, OH from 2005, then permanently moved here in 2008. Dalisay was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, the Fil-Am Club and the Filipino Ladies Club. She volunteered as a dietician with medical missions in the Philippines. She loved traveling & cruising, but especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. Survivors include her loving husband of 58 years, Edgardo; children, Mary Rose & Dan Huber of Napa, CA, John Edward & Sandra Amador of Boston, MA and Tony & Mary Amador of Cleveland, OH; sister, Rose Deveza and 7 grandchildren, Jack, Madeline, James, Chris, Greg, Grace and Maya. Dalisay was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Robert Veloro and Betty Carmona. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated, 10:00am Friday, January 26, 2018 in the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Wildwood. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Moffitt Cancer Center, www.moffitt.org or St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.
