Wyss, Cynthia L's Obituary
Cynthia “Cindy” Wyss, 79, of Sebring, passed away peacefully on May 8, 2026.
Born on February 20, 1947, in Newton, Cindy was the beloved daughter of the late Chief Master Sergeant William J. Wyss and Maudie Wyss. Throughout her life, she carried herself with quiet strength, kindness, and devotion to those she loved.
Cindy dedicated many years of service through her work with the Office of Special Investigations in the Philippines, the USDA in Laconia, and later with Social Security in Sebring, Florida. She was respected for her dedication, professionalism, and caring nature.
A woman deeply committed to service and fellowship, Cindy was an active member of the Order of the Eastern Star, where she honorably held all five points and served as Worthy Matron. She also served as Worthy Advisor to the International Order of the Rainbow for Girls, mentoring and guiding young women with compassion and wisdom.
Cindy found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She was wonderfully crafty, loved reading, and had a special affection for cats. Her warm heart, gentle spirit, and thoughtful nature will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Heather Silver and her husband, Mark; her cherished cat, Sierra; and her grand-puppy, Pepper.
A memorial service will be held at a later date at Kesselring Square at The Palms at Sebring.
