Craig Kevin Mustain's Obituary
Craig Kevin Mustain, 60, was born September 10,1960 in Independence, Missouri and passed away Friday August 20, 2021. He was a strong and loving husband, father, son, pastor, and friend to many. Ocala was home to Craig for the past 12 years. Craig graduated from Lafayette County C-1 High School in 1979. After graduating, he joined the US Army and served for 4 years including one year overseas in Korea. After the service, he worked for Levitz furniture in Fort Lauderdale, Florida for over 10 years, while also working part-time as a limo driver. In 1990 Craig rededicated his heart to the Lord and became very involved in his local church, Christian Life Center, helping in children’s ministries where he met Nelsa, the love of his life. They were married on November 30, 1991. Craig began Berean School of the Bible and then went on to become a Children’s Pastor for the next 30 years in Fort Lauderdale, Naples, Ocala and Oxford, Florida. Craig was preceded in death by his father Ronald Roy Mustain and stepfather Robert Rauch. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 30 years, Ana Nelsa Mustain and their 4 children: Kevin Christopher Mustain, Mariana Mustain, Caleb Joshua Mustain, and Anamarie Mustain; mother, Judith Ann Rauch; brother, Carl Aubrey Mustain and wife Melissa and daughter Olivia; stepbrothers: Rod Mustain, David Rauch, Robert Rauch, and stepsister Kristy Rauch; mother and father in-law Evaristo and Felicia Bermudez; sister in law, Nancy and Eugene Duran and their children: Adriano, Kristina and Jacqueline; uncles: Jon and Pam McClure, Gary McClure and Donald Mustain; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and loved ones. Craig enjoyed working on cars, collecting antiques, gardening, keeping up with technology, tinkering, boating, and spending time with his family. He was very much a family man and a handyman that was always willing help anyone in need. He was passionate about his relationship with the Lord, children’s ministries, and missions. Craig participated in mission’s trips that focused on reaching children for Christ in Cuba, Abaco, St. Vincent, and South Africa. He was very involved in his local community doing various outreaches in the Oxford and Wildwood areas on a regular basis. One of his favorite verses was Matthew 10:42 “And if anyone gives even a cup of cold water to one of these little ones who is my disciple, truly I tell you, that person will certainly not lose their reward.” Craig will be missed by all that had the privilege of knowing him but leaves a great legacy. We will miss his creativity, ‘out of the box’ way of thinking, pride of country, love of God, church, and family. 2 Corinthians 5:6-8 “Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord; for we walk by faith, not by sight: we are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.” A visitation will be held on Thursday, August 26, 2021 from 5:00 8:00 PM at Oxford Assembly of God. The funeral service will take place of Friday, August 27, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Oxford Assembly of God, 12114 US-301 Oxford, FL 34484. Officiating will be Reverend Derrell Strickland of Oxford Assembly of God and Reverend Eugene Duran of Vernon Assembly of God. In Lieu of flowers, our family welcomes donations to BGMC (Boys & Girls Missionary Challenge) to honor Pastor Craig’s love, dedication and passion for Children’s Ministries all over the world.
