Courtland Stanley Lane's Obituary
In celebration of the life of Courtland Stanley Lane. Age 82, Marion county, Florida.
Born in Miami, Florida August 31, 1943 to parents: Courtland Sidney Lane and Mildred Ruth Lane. Stan grew up in Miami and entered the USMC in May 1966 and was an Armorer. He served until May 11, 1968 at Camp Lejune, Camp Geiger and Panama Canal. He was the epitome of a Marine as the saying goes “Once a Marine Always a Marine”. He was also a great replica of his father, Courtland and inherited the jack of all trades gene and could work on or build anything. His careers were many, from truck driving, construction, pest control, to his fruit stand in Oxford. He was always working from Sun up till sundown.
Courtland leaves behind his daughters, Lori Ignoffo and her husband, James, Crystal Berisko, and her husband Kevin and son, Courtland Lane and his fiancée, Jackie, 9 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Courtland and Ruth Lane, his twin brother at birth, his brother Nelson Lane and two granddaughters, Vanessa and Kailey.
Courtland will be remembered for his strong faith in God, the love of his country, the Marine Corp and being a friend to all that knew him.
