My name is Randi Davidson and I used to be Cora's daughter- in- law. While we have kept in contact off and on I haven't seen Cora in quite a while. I was thinking about that time after I found out Cora was I'll and my mind kept going back to my favorite memory of Cora. One day when I had gotten home from working all night and was cleaning the house and doing laundry Cora came over and told me to get ready to go. I had no idea what was up but a break sounded good to me. So when I got in the car Cora informed me we were having Randi's day. We just hung out did some shopping and visited a good friend of Cora's, Frannie, and then she took me to an ice cream place. Well those that know me know I love ice cream especially hot fudge and bananas. You probably also know they never have bananas on a hot fudge sundae but that is what Cora ordered for me. The counter person said they didn't put bananas on hot fudge sundaes. Cora said well you do have hot fudge sundaes right? And they said yes and Cora said you have bananas , right? And the counter person said yes. So Cora said then cut a banana up and put it on a hot fudge sundae and without any argument they did just that. When I was younger I couldn't imagine getting someone to do something out of the normal for me, but Cora did. She just had a way of getting what she wanted. While we weren't always on the best of terms we have still kept in contact off and on over the years. I can't imagine her being gone and I will miss her. I do love you Cora RIP. Love Randi
My name is Randi Davidson and I used to be one of Cora's daughter-in-laws. I have many memories of Cora but my favorite is one day when I had been trying to keep my sanity while working and taking care of the house and laundry and just everything, Cora came over and told me to get ready because we were going out for the day. When I got in the car she said this is Randi's day. We went shopping and visiting a good friend of hers and then she took me to an ice cream shop. I've always lived hot fudge but I liked bananas so Cora ordered me a hot fudge sundae with bananas. The counter person said they never had heard of that and Cora said well you have hot fudge sundaes don't you? They said yeah and Cora said you also have bananas, right? The counter person said yes. So Cora said "I don't see a problem." Just make a Hoyt fudge sundae and cut up a banana for it. It was the best sundae ever and also one of the best days I ever spent Cora. Believe it or not Cora, I will miss you and I do love you. Randi
Cora was my heart friend. God put us together as friends the last few yrs of her life. We met at Adamsville Baptist Church. She was truly a blessing in my life. We both shared some of our life experiences together. She helped me through a couple of major trials in my life. She was always there to listen and support me and we prayed together many times. She offered wise Christian advise. She was an example of God using our life experiences to help others. She kept me in prayer for things I needed help with from God and she prayed for my dreams. I will truly miss that. She is now with the Father and Jesus and she can tell them personally. I would often tell her that we were heart friends now and for eternity. We always shared how much our friendship meant to each other. Cora you will be missed! In eternity's time we will be see each other again in the blink of an eye. You can never be replaced in my heart.
I am the firstborn of Cora Wareham. My name is Elizabeth Price. I cared for her in the time right before she passed. I am 68 years old and I never met a more stubborn woman in all my life. I think she kept getting out of bed when I told her I couldn’t lift her just so the firefighters would come. You know that you love someone when you listen to 8 hours of Mozart on YouTube as you are trying to sleep. I will miss her.
She laughed.
