Clyde Jay Moon's Obituary
Clyde Jay Moon, 97, Lady Lake, Florida passed away on October 7, 2017 in Summerfield, Florida. Mr. Moon was born on September 10, 1920 in Italy, New York to his parents Clifford Lee Moon and Ida (Davis) Moon. Mr. Moon was a former Vice President of Finance for Taylor Instrument Company in Rochester, New York. He and his wife Elsie moved to Lady Lake in 1996 from Prattsburgh, New York. He was of the Presbyterian faith and was a member of Prattsburgh Presbyterian Church in Prattsburgh, NY. He was a proud veteran of World War II. He attended Hamilton College in Clinton, New York where he was a member of Phi Beta Kappa and then attended Yale University. He loved playing golf and was an avid reader. He is survived by his loving wife of over 70 years: Elsie H. Moon of Lady Lake, FL; a son: Thomas Moon of Penfield, NY; a daughter: Deborah (Edward) McGeough of Laytonsville, MD; three grandchildren: Jessica Nicholson, Kevin McGeough and Brian McGeough; six great-grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews.
