Clayton Lee "Tater" Watson's Obituary
Clayton Lee “Tater” Watson, 86, of Wildwood, passed away Friday, April 1, 2016. Mr. Watson was born August 12, 1929 in Wildwood to George Clyde and Ruth Anna (Clayton) Watson. He has lived here all of his life. Tater was an U.S. Air Force Korean War Veteran. He retired from CSX as a conductor and trainman. Tater was a member of the Wildwood United Methodist Church, the Wildwood Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite and Shrine. He enjoyed golfing and fishing while he was able. Survivors include his loving wife of 36 years, Barbara; children, Dana Ross, David and Robin Alvarez, Wayne Watson, Wade Watson and Ann and Judge Evatt; step-children, Gale and Donnie Jones, Michael and Angela Taylor and Wayne and Daisy Taylor; siblings, Clyde and Flora Dell Watson, Gary and Sharon Watson and Carole Bennett; 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Tater was preceded in death by his sister, Peggy Pelot. Visitation will be 2:00pm – 3:00pm with the funeral service at 3:00pm, Tuesday, April 5, 2016, in the Wildwood United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to the Wildwood United Methodist Church or Cornerstone Hospice.
