Clarence Hollon's Obituary
Clarence Hollon, 88, formerly of Oxford, passed away Monday, August 18, 2014, in his home at Moosehaven in Orange Park, FL. Mr. Hollon was born March 14, 1926 in Wilhoust, KY to the late Kelly and Susie (Phillips) Holland. He had moved to Oxford in 1987 from Cincinnati, OH then to Moosehaven several years ago. He was a member of Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church and the Silver Spring Shores Moose Lodge. He was a retired machinist and was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII. Survivors include 2 daughters, Shirley Middendorf and Carol Scharf; 2 sons, Tony Estes and Larry Estes; sister, Beth Herbert; 10 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Virginia “Polly” Hollon in 2012, daughter, Sharon Brown; 3 brothers, George Holland, Kelly Holland, Jr. and James Holland. Funeral services for Mr. Hollon will be held 9:30am, Thursday, August 21, 2014 in the Banks/Page-Theus Funeral Home. Interment is in Pine Level Cemetery, Oxford.
