I am so sorry to hear of Gene's passing. Prayers to the entire family. I will remember Gene and Harriett very fondly of the days we sat under the shade tree in the swing and Gene would Tell us stories ofdays gone by. Gene also helped me in his garage keep many of the cars I had over the years keep going. Rest in Peace Gene you'll be missed dearly. I hope God let's you ride the tractor in heaven,as you were the happiest when out riding your mower/tractor. Now Harriett has her Prince with her. Love always Jana Lewis
We're so very sorry to learn of the passing of Gene and Harriette. Our hearts go out to all of their family. They were both the nicest people and we feel so very fortunate to have had the pleasure of being their next store neighbors for 20 years. We will always remember the kindness they showed us and the way they opened their hearts and home up to us " Yankees from New York" as soon as we moved in next door. It seemed like no one was a stranger to them , they loved everyone as if you were family. We will always have the memory of listening to the stories they could both tell while sitting on the swing in their backyard. The memory of both Gene and Harriette will stay in our hearts for as long as we live. With Love from Michael and Nancy Walsh.
Sending love and prayers of comfort. -Becky Morrison Hampton
Meeting Mr. Hill approximately twelve years ago was an honor and privilege I will cherish the remainder of my life. Our friendship grew as we served and participated in American Legion Post 18. Mr. Hill's honesty, integrity, and willingness to help others set the standard for us to follow. His caring attitude and love for Ms. Hill was present every time I was able to visit with them. His love for family, church and friends was always present and certainly one for us to follow. My thoughts and prayers are with the family during this time of mourning.
