Charles Butler's Obituary
Charles Bradford Butler, 83, of The Villages, FL and of Yarmouth Port, MA, died on Monday, May 31, 2010. He was born in Johnstown, N.Y. on April 22, 1927. He was a 16 year former resident of Vero Beach. Mr. Butler graduated from Worcester Academy and Babson College, class of ’49, and was a U. S. Coast Guard veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He retired as a Vice President of Sales for Time Inc. in 1987. He was a member of the Riverside Yacht Club and of the Greenwich Country Club in CT; The Moorings Club and The Indian River Club in Vero Beach, FL; and The Bass River Yacht Club and The Retired Men’s Club of Cape Cod. He was an avid hunter, yachtsman, fisherman and golfer. Survivors include his wife, Marilyn; son, Bradford T., Harwich, MA; daughter, Amy M., New York, NY; two grandchildren; brother, Blaine, Melbourne, FL; and sister, Nancy Chambers, Winter Park, FL. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Babson College, Alumni Hall, 231 Forest Street, Babson Park, MA 02457 or to Cornerstone Hospice Foundation of Lake and Sumter County, 601 Casa Bella, The Villages, FL 32162. Services for Mr. Butler will be held in Cape Cod later this month. Arrangements are entrusted to Banks/Page-Theus Funerals and Cremations.
