Cecil C Hayes' Obituary
Cecil C. Hayes, 90, of Sebring passed away Wednesday, July 25, 2012. Mr. Hayes was born May 20, 1922 in Sussex, N.B., Canada and moved to Sebring in 1959. He was a WWII Veteran, serving in the Royal Canadian Air Force. He owned an Amoco Station in Sebring for 30 years before retiring. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Sebring and the Sebring Golf Association for many years as well as the Canadian Legion and a 40 year member of the Florida Sheriffs Association. Besides golfing, which he continued up until 3 weeks ago he was also an avid bridge player. Mr. Hayes was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy, in 2007. Survivors include his son, James B. (Nancy) Hayes, Sr. of Sebring; a sister, Phyllis Doherty of Sussex, N.B., Canada and 4 grandchildren of Sebring. On-line condolences and memories may be shared by visiting www.bankspagetheus.com.
