Carlton Claude Card's Obituary
Carlton “Carl” C. Card, 82, of Oxford, Fl, formerly of Lockport, NY. Beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather entered quietly into rest on Thursday, July 28, 2011. Mr. Card was born in North Tonawanda, N.Y. he was the son of Lucy (nee Coombs) and Claude Card. He attended grade school and high school in Niagara Falls graduating in 1948. After graduating he attended Kelly Business School then began his career as an X-ray Technician at Mt. View Hospital in Lockport, N.Y. and later worked in the medical department of Harrison Radiator until his retirement in 1989. Throughout his career he continued to pursue training and further education in his field and obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Hygiene from Empire State College. Mr. Card was a gifted amateur artist and acted in several local theater groups, both in western N.Y. and Cocoa Beach, Fl. He moved to The Villages in 2001 from Cocoa Beach. Survivors include his loving wife of 57 years, Mildred (nee Troop); 2 daughters, Janie (Robert) Mellas and Bonnie (Chris) Heschke; 2 granddaughters, Jessica (Kevin) Infantino and Karin (Nathan) Morea along with 2 great grandsons, Alex and Carter Infantino. Visitation for Mr. Card will be held 1:00 – 4:00pm, Monday, August 1, 2011, in the Banks/Page-Theus Chapel with the funeral following at 4:00pm.
