Carl Joe Leapley's Obituary
Carl Joe Leapley, 35, of Wildwood passed away Wednesday, July 31, 2013. Mr. Leapley was born February 5, 1978 in Omaha, Nebraska. He moved to Wildwood in 1987 from Omaha. He was a 1996 graduate of Wildwood High School where he was affectionately known as “Leap Daddy”. He enjoyed fishing and coaching baseball, had played high school football and baseball. His favorite past time was playing pranks. He worked as a Vinyl Siding Installer in The Villages and was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include his mother, Charlene Lea; father, Wendall Wilkins; stepfather, Rogelio Mendez; sons, Joseph Leapley and Aiden Peavy; daughters, Briana Leapley and Kaylynn Leapley; brothers, James “Bear” Wilkins and Dustin Lea; sisters, Crystal Brown and Heather (James) Strawder along with 9 nieces and nephews, Lyric and Kloey Brown, JaMyra, Laylah, Skylah and James Strawder, Jr, Cheyanne Lea, Thomas Cummins and Don Young, III. Visitation for Carl will be held 2:00 – 4:00pm, Sunday, August 4, 2013 in the funeral home. Funeral services will be held 2:00pm, Monday, August 5, 2013 in the Banks/Page-Theus Chapel with interment following in Pine Level Cemetery, Oxford.
