Greg,
My brother sent this link to me. I'm sorry to hear about your dad. I still remember him taking us to a Buffalo Braves - Phoenix Suns game at the Aud.
Thing I remember most is one Friday night in the winter ('71? '72?), he took us to Ives Pond. He and we all played hockey with no skates and a sponge rubber puck. Only remember a few things about that night, but I DO remember I had a really fun time. Your parents were both great people.
I hope you're well.
Regards,
Jim Worosz
My sincere sympathies to Art’s family and Mary on his passing. He was the gracious founder of our club for many years and I enjoyed attending the meetings with the speakers Art managed to persuade to come to The villages.
He was a caring, gentle man, who loved being president. I met Art through my older brother, Bob Vincuilla, who lived near him on Bailey Place. Art will always be remembered in my heart! Diana Lee Vincuilla Bernard ❤️
I met Mr. Plant(Art) in room 206 at Kenmore West HighSchool in 1976 for Algebra. He then enlisted me to help in the book room for the school. I then had him for geometry the following year. I helped in book room until graduation. I loved it when he took us to Anderson’s for lunch in the Spring as a thank you. He also gave me nickname when we first met, Barts. Friends use that nickname still. Art thank you for those years and memories at Kenmore West. I wish I would have been able to connect with you again years ago instead on 2 months ago. Rest In Peace. Art was a very caring , kind and loving person. I and everyone else in the club will miss him very much. Sincerely, Doris Guimont
I met Art at Bob Evans restaurant as he noticed my Boston Red Sox hat. He said he was thinking of starting a Red Sox Nation club and wondered if I would be interested, I said absolutely! To my knowledge, I was the only person from Minnesota to belong to the club. He was impressive and was the heart of the Nation for sure! Condolences to the entire family and of course, the Red Sox Nation...RIP Art---a live well-lived!
Art was a key figure in the establishment of Rock of Ages Lutheran Church and the building of its worship center. He was a special friend and will be missed by many. Eternal rest grant him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him.
