Bruce L. Summa, 72, of Wildwood passed away Saturday, September 21, 2013 under the care of The Villages Hospice and his family. Mr. Summa was born July 7, 1941 in Cleveland, Ohio, the son of the late Leonard and Gertrude (Wolfield Read Obituary
Bruce was a legend! Truly one of a kind! He was my BEST professor. I still think of things he taught (back in the late 80's) and they still apply today.
I also worked for Bruce at his booth at out-of-town/state events and shows.
Bruce was more than just my professor, boss, and mentor. We became friends. He had a huge heart and propensity for fun!
My condolences to his family. He will live on in my heart & mind.

My deepest sympathies. Bruce was my favorite college professor’s in 1977-1980 at LCCC. His knowledge, kindness and interesting lectures set him apart from the other professors. He made class a joy to attend. He carried himself with dignity and pride. He was so passionate about antiques, telling us tales that no other could. He was a man of great knowledge and was kind to share it with his students. I will always carry his spark for adventure in my heart. I’m glad our paths crossed in this lifetime.
He was our Homecoming KIng....548ish....we worked on many a dance committee.
What an awful surprise I received when I saw 'Bruce's' Facebook post this Sunday!! It was the message from Linda informing us of his death. I worked with Bruce for many years at Lorain County Community College, until his retirement. But he continued to surprise us occasionally with a special pizza from Cleveland, or some outrageous story of his newest adventures. Once we became Friends again on Facebook, you could tell that he was so happy in his retirement and life in Florida. He was certainly a man who lived life to it's fullest!! He certainly touched too many lives to count. <3
