Quinn, Bruce Winslow's Obituary
Bruce Winslow Quinn, 84, passed away on Saturday, June 21, 2025. He was born June 19, 1941, in Providence, RI to Clarence Burton and Ruth Alden (nee Stickney) Quinn.
Bruce grew up on Cape Cod, MA and attended high school at the Tilton School in Tilton, NH. During this time, he spent summers on St. John, USVI and Nassau, where his father managed hotels.
Bruce graduated from the University of Pennsylvania, where he was a member of a fraternity and played JV soccer. After he graduated, he met Mary Ann Quinn while she was a summer camp counselor on Cape Cod. He knew she was the one for him! That fall he drove to Florida Southern College, where she was attending her junior year and convinced her to marry him!
Bruce started his career at The Chase Manhattan Bank in New York City. From there he began his insurance career at Physicians Planning Service, where he eventually became Senior Vice President. He also started his own insurance company for physicians, which kept him busy until retirement.
Bruce enjoyed jogging, tennis, golf, body surfing in the ocean, fishing and travel. He loved to fish with his son and father-in-law at the Jersey shore. He and Mary Ann went on several amazing cruises with his in-laws and brother and sister-in-law. He took his family on wonderful vacations in the US and the Caribbean.
Bruce was a loving husband, father, grandfather and son-in-law.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 59 years, Mary Ann (nee Dorrill) Quinn.
He will forever be loved and missed by his son Jeffrey Quinn, daughter Leslie Quinn, son-in-law Steve Johnson, grandchildren Ella and Beckett Johnson, and brother and sister-in-law Robert and Margaret Dorrill.
There will be a private family celebration of life graveside service held at Mount Hebron Cemetery in Montclair, NJ.
