Parrish, Bruce Veasy's Obituary
Bruce Veasy Parrish, 77, Oxford, Florida went to be with his Lord and Savior on March 29, 2025 at his residence in Oxford, Florida surrounded by his loving family. Bruce was born on September 18, 1947 in Plant City, Florida to his parents Claude Parrish and Gladys Myrtle (Veasy) Parrish.
Bruce was a Florida native and resided in Inverness, Florida until moving to Oxford, Florida in 1999. He was retired from the Citrus County School Board with 26 years of service as a Plumber and Electrician in the Maintenance Department. Bruce served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Oxford, Florida. Bruce was the former owner of the Amoco gas station in Inverness, Florida. He was an avid hunter and belonged to the hunting club of Inverness, Florida. He was good friend to those who knew him and loved being surrounded by his family.
He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years: Evelyn Patsy Parrish of Oxford, FL; two sons: Larry Parrish of Oxford, FL and Terry Parrish of Oxford, FL; two daughters: Sherry Parrish of Ocala, FL and Christy Earhart and her husband Steve of Belleview, FL; four loving grandchildren: Brittany, Christopher, Travis and Stacey and many loving nieces and nephews.
Bruce was preceded in death by his parents, all his siblings and a beloved granddaughter, Kayla Parrish.
