Memories, my Aunt Brenda was only 10 years older than me, my earliest memory was of her and her dog penny, a beautiful black cocker spaniel. Always with that beautiful smile.
She had a sweet soul. Sending prayers for Uncle Bill, cousins Brad , Brian and families.

I think it was early summer 1955. Brenda was invited to spend the summer in North Carolina with friends. Problem was she had about 50 white mice (started with 2) that Mom insisted she couldn't leave for someone else to take care of. They were kept in an old rabbit cage on the side of the laundry/storage shed.
I came home from work, and there was my little sister wrapping about 5 mice at a time into a wash cloth and drowning them in a bucket of water. Great big crocodile tears adorned her cheeks. I took her tools, sent her inside and bless me can't remember how I finished the task.
