Aunt Bonnie was a sweet and precious soul, with spunk and sass. When I was a child, most of my blood relatives lived a good distance away. My father, Richard, married into the family when I was around 12. Even though I wasn't Bonnie's blood relative, she (and Uncle Laverne) welcomed me into the family as one of their own. That is a very special, quality, rare in this world. I'll never forget the many weekends spent at her house, playing Scat and other fun games, having cookouts (LOVED her macaroni salad, among many other tasty foods) and just hanging around, listening to her and Verne tease one another. She was a precious soul and my heart breaks at losing her, but I am heartened to know that heaven has gained a precious soul, and that she no longer has any pain or sorrow. Love you, Aunt Bonnie!
