Bobby Jack Poe's Obituary
Bobby Jack Poe, 80, Leesburg, Fl went to be with the Lord on October 12, 2012 at The Villages Hospice House under the care of loving family and Hospice staff. Mr. Poe was born on December 13, 1931 in Corona, Alabama to his parents Troy Bruce Poe, Sr. and J. Estelle Poe. He was retired Engineer for the CSX Railroad and served many years in Wildwood. He was a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard during the Korean War. He was a lifelong resident of the Wildwood and a member of the First Baptist Church of Wildwood, where he helped to mix the concrete to build the church, and a member of the American Legion Post of Wildwood. He blessed his family, served his country and cared for his fellow man. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years Jean Poe of Leesburg, Fl.; a daughter: Cherri (Steve) Pike of Springfield, Mo.; a brother: Bruce Poe of Jacksonville, Fl.; two grandchildren: Lindsy Harris and Jeremy Pike of Denver, Co.; 2 great grandsons: Myles and Koen Harris of Denver, Co. Funeral Services will be on Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at 11am at Banks, Page-Theus Funeral Home, Wildwood, Fl with burial to follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Wildwood, Fl. A visitation will be held on Monday, October 15, 2012 from 6pm to 8pm at the Funeral Home. Services entrusted to Banks, Page-Theus Funeral Home, Wildwood, FL.
