Birtie I. Kelley's Obituary
Birtie I. Kelley, 89. Center Hill, Florida went to be with the Lord on January 26, 2019 under the loving care of her Granddaughter Sheila. Birtie was born on February 11, 1929 in Groveland, Florida to her parents Brooker Dukes and Norma Inez (Tuten) Dukes. She and her late husband Charles Kelley had worked together on their farm earlier in her life, but after her husband’s death she was a homemaker to her family. She lived in central Florida for most of her life but had also lived in Tennessee and Alabama for a short period of time before returning home to Florida. She was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed working on jig saw puzzles. She is survived by three sons: Johnny Crawford of Tennessee, Steve Crawford of Tennessee and Chuck Kelley of Alabama; a daughter: Ruth Saylor of Center Hill, FL; a brother: Donnell Drew of Center Hill, FL; sisters: Madeline Ross of Alabama and Annie Burdshaw of Dade City, FL; twenty-seven, grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; many great great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews, as well as many grand-nieces and grand-nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her late husband, Charles Kelley, two daughters, Betty Sapp and Louise Roberts, two sons, Ray Crawford and Randy Crawford. She will be laid to rest by her late husband Charles Kelley in Fender Family Cemetery in Mascotte, Florida. On-line condolences may be shared by visiting www.bankspagetheus.com.
