Billie Marie Winkles' Obituary
Billie Marie Winkles, 88, of Coleman, passed away Wednesday, April 5, 2023. Mrs. Winkles was born in Coleman, FL. She was a life-long member of the First Baptist Church of Coleman, where she faithfully contributed her time and her service to the Lord. She was a loving wife and mother, she worked for the Telephone Company in her early years; she then went to work for the Sumter County School System as Secretary/Administration, where she spent the next 20+ years, retiring in 1998.
She enjoyed spending time outside tending her flower gardens, spending time with family, but especially loved and took pride in spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Lonnie B. Winkles. Survivors include: 2 daughters, Rhonda (George) Nash, of Summerfield and Tina (Jason) Williams, of Lake Panasoffkee; 3 granddaughters, Kerri (David) Farkus, of Oxford, Jenilee (Garry) Walker, of Coleman, and Haylee (Austin) Hibbard, of Umatilla; 4 great-grandchildren, Braylin, Devin, Brody, and Kaylee; 1 brother, William C. Mizell, of Lake Panasoffkee.
