Bill H. Hill's Obituary
Bill H. Hill age 90, passed away early Saturday, November 08, 2014 at The Villages Hospice House, The Villages, Florida. Bill was a lifelong resident of Sumter County and a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Oxford. He had a long career as a railroad dispatcher with CSX Railroad. Bill loved spending time in the great outdoors, and he loved the hard physical work his small farm provided. He is described by those closest to him as a “Happy Go Lucky” kind of guy who made friends easily. He was a strong Christian example who loved his family and his church. He is survived by his wife of 26 years Betty; Son – Robert Hill of Oxford, FL; Daughter Cathy Watson of Wildwood; Granddaughters – Toni Jones and Teri Douglas; and Great-Granddaughter Haylee. He was pre-deceased by his first wife Janice Hill.
A celebration of his life is planned for 10:00 A. M. - Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at the First Baptist Church of Oxford with Rev. Don Manley serving as Officiant. Interment will follow at Pine Level Cemetery, Oxford.
