Betty P Watkins' Obituary
Betty P. Watkins, 86, Wildwood, FL. went to be with the Lord on July 27, 2014 at her residence in Wildwood, FL. Mrs. Watkins was born on May 14, 1928 in Orlando, FL. and was raised by her parents Luther K. and Claudine Pipkin. She was a lifelong resident of Wildwood and a member of the First Presbyterian Church. She had worked as a substitute teacher, Journalist for the Daily Commercial and finally at Stokes Fish Market where she retired. She enjoyed sewing, crafts, gardening, painting, and other various crafts as well as being an avid golfer at one time. She is survived by her loving children, three sons: Richard (Connie) Watkins of Ft. Pierce, FL, Mike Watkins of Wildwood, FL and Lance (Audrey) Watkins of Lake Panasoffkee, FL; two daughters: Karen (George) Boone of Wildwood, FL and Kim (Jeff) Stuchell of Wildwood, FL; 21 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Milton “Shake” Watkins, a son, Butch Watkins and a daughter, Kellene Watkins Severt. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 2, 2014 at 11:00AM at the First Presbyterian Church, Wildwood, Florida. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations may be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Wildwood, FL. or to the charity of one’s choice.
