Betty Jo Leneave's Obituary
Betty Jo Leneave, 88, of Port St. Joe Beach, passed away on Tuesday, October 27, 2015. Betty Jo was born October 15, 1927 in Wildwood to Susie Ethel (Crosby) and Joseph H Johnson, Sr. She moved to Port St. Joe Beach in 2015 from Leesburg. Betty Jo was a teller for the Bank of Wildwood from 1946-1969. In May of 1969 she married Robert H Leneave, of Oxford, FL.
Betty Jo was very active in her community. She taught Sunday school for many years and was most recently a member of the Sunset Park Church of God. In addition, she volunteered at Wildwood Elementary School for several years as a teacher’s aide in the kindergarten class. Although Betty Jo never had any of her own, she loved all children and was like a mother to many.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Robert, brother Joseph Johnson, Jr., sister Martha Ernst, niece Vicky Acken and great-niece Abigail Baker. Betty Jo is survived by her sisters, Sarah Morrison and Ann Collins, along with 5 nieces, 1 nephew and many great-nieces and nephews
Visitation will be held from 1:00 - 2:00PM on Sunday, November 1, 2015. Funeral services will begin immediately following. Interment will be at the Greenwood Cemetery, Wildwood. Online condolences may be shared by visiting www.bankspagetheus.com.
