Betty Collins' Obituary
Elizabeth Ann (Betty) Collins, age 94, of Hilton Head Island, South Carolina and Wildwood, Florida and formerly of Pleasant Hills, Pennsylvania died on October 7, 2014 in Hilton Head Island.
Betty Collins was born to Rose Ranzini Morini and Ector Morini March 17, 1920 in Duquesne, Pennsylvania. She was predeceased by her husband, John R. Collins.
Betty retired from Westinghouse Electric (Bettis Atomic Power Lab) in West Mifflin, Pennsylvania as a secretary. She attended Grove City College. She moved to Florida in 1984 from Pleasant Hills Pennsylvania. She was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church, Leesburg. She was also a member of the Nine Hole Ladies Golf Association, the Resident Ladies Club, and the Choral Club of Continental Country Club in Florida.
She is survived by her nephew, Robert E. Morini, Jr.(Angie) of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; her niece, Lynn Morini Ovelman (Bob) of Hilton Head Island, South Carolina; her great nieces Jessica Morini and Christina Morini of Denver Colorado, and Kate Ovelman Nelson (Christian) of Columbia, South Carolina.
Mass will be held at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Leesburg on Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at 8:30 AM followed by interment at Bushnell Veteran's Cemetery.
An avid music lover, she enjoyed singing, traveling, wearing hats, and beer. She was flamboyant, loving, and proud, and will be missed greatly by family and friends.
