Bette Mae Gillett's Obituary
Bette Mae Hunt Gillett, 93, of Sebring, FL passed away on Saturday, June 26, 2021. Bette was born in Stephentown, New York on February 21, 1928 to Lillian H. (Batchelder) and Earle W. Hunt. Bette was a devoted Camp Fire Girl during her school years; a member of Heart of the Berkshires Grange while living in Pittsfield, MA; Graduated with honors in 1945 from Pittsfield High School. She became the Senior Accountant at Berkshire Life Insurance Co. from 1945 to 1960. Married David Russell Gillett on July 7, 1956. In 1968, David and Bette moved from Washington, MA to Pompano Beach, FL and in 1991, retired in Sebring, FL. While in Sebring, Bette became a member & Officer in “TOPS” FL # 487, Sebring (a Chapter of the TOPS Club Inc.) since 1971. Bette was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, David and son, Russell Duane Gillett. She is survived by her dear friends, Eduardo and Traci Vega of Lake Placid, FL.
