Bessie M. Lamoreaux's Obituary
Bessie M. Lamoreaux, 82, The Villages, FL. passed away on May 18, 2017 at her residence. Mrs. Lamoreaux was born on April 23, 1935 in La Grande, Oregon to her parents George and Iva Blanton. Mrs. Lamoreaux was a former Gymnastics Judge for the U.S. Gymnastics Federation. She and her late husband moved to The Villages in 1993 from Littleton, Colorado. She was a member of Amazing Grace Lutheran Church, Oxford, Florida. She was a member of the Red Hat Ladies and the U.S. Gymnastics Federation. She was a sports fanatic who loved the Denver Broncos, playing cards and being an avid golfer. She is survived by two sons: Bruce Lamoreaux of Dacono, CO and Ronald Lamoreaux of Aurora, CO; two daughters: Debbie Knoll of Fort Collins, CO and Denise Atkins of Charlotte, NC; twelve grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her late husband Edward Lamoreaux and her son Rodney Lamoreaux. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, May 26, 2017 at 3:00PM at Amazing Grace Lutheran Church, Oxford, Florida. On-line condolences may be shared by visiting www.bankspagetheus.com.
