Bert A. Degolyer, 85, Leesburg, FL went to be with the Lord on April 14, 2013 in Leesburg, FL. Mr. Degolyer was born on July 26, 1927 in Jeannette, Pennsylvania. He was a Coal Miner in the Mining Industry in West Virginia and moved to Central Florida 15 years ago from West Virginia. He was a member of the Community United Methodist Church of Fruitland Park. A Veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Navy. His hobbies included restoring old cars and working on elaborate puzzles. He is survived by his loving wife: Ludell Rutherford Degolyer of Leesburg, FL; two sons: Bobby (Dee) Rutherford of Fruitland Park, FL and Jack (Linda) Rutherford of Sorrento, FL; two daughters: Penny C. Bragonje of West Virginia and Joyce (Jimmy) Lawrence of Fruitland Park, FL; two brothers; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; four great great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held 10:00am, Saturday, May 4, 2013 in the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Leesburg. Arrangements are entrusted to Banks/Page-Theus Funerals and Cremations, Wildwood.
