Benjamin Franklin Smart, Sr.'s Obituary
Benjamin (Frank) Smart, Sr., 90, Wildwood, Fla., went to be with the Lord and his loving wife on March 17, 2012. At his side was his loving Family. Mr. Smart was born on December 20, 1921 in Fitzgerald, Georgia, He was born to Samuel and Lillie Smart. He spent all of his life in Lake, Sumter County. He was a member of Sumterville First Assembly of God Church for 35 years. He served as a Deacon, He was greatly loved and appreciated in his church. He loved to fish and go to church. Mr. Smart served in the Civilian Conservation Corps ‘CCC” here in Lake and Sumter Counties from 1941 to 1945 and also served in the United States Army in World War II in the South Pacific. He is survived by his Daughters: Joan and Sonny Cron of North Fort Myers, FL., Virginia and Richard Mullins of Coleman, Fl.; Sons: Frankie and Sandra Smart of Coleman, Fl., Jesse and Sue Smart of Texas, Sam and Gayle Smart of Okahumpka, Fl., Ralph and Dawn Smart of South Carolina, John and Audrey Smart of Wildwood, Fl. and James and Sheila Smart of South Carolina.; Sisters: Bessie Kershner of New Port Richey, Fla. And Wynell Flowers of Leesburg, Fla.;He was blessed with 27 Grandchildren, 34 Great-Grandchildren, and 3 Great Great-Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary of 54 years. Parents Samuel and Lillie Smart. Brothers: Thomas, Johnny, Joe, Jim and Aaron Smart; Sisters: Bertha Lowe, Maydee Woods and Mary Stephens.Graveside Funeral Services will be held on Tuesady, March 20, 2012 at 10:00AM at the Adamsville Cemetery in Wildwood, Florida. A Visitation will be held on Monday, March 19, 2012 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Banks, Page-Theus Funeral Home, Wildwood, Florida. Services entrusted to Banks, Page-Theus Funeral Home 410 N.
