Basil Leroy Weir's Obituary
Basil "Leroy" Weir, 81, of Fruitland Park, passed away Thursday, July 5, 2012. Mr. Weir was born March 30, 1931 in Earlington, Ky and moved to Fruitland Park in 1991 from Orlando. He retired from the construction industry after 40 years of service. He was veteran of the US Air Force and served during the Korean War. He loved golf, and people watching, and sharing faith information. He mostly enjoyed making people laugh. His survivors include his wife of 29 years, Marlene, son, Steve Weir of Stanford, KY; stepchildren, Pam Minton and Tim Bell, both of Madisonville, KY; Bob Hannon of Fruitland Park, FL; David Hannon of Dallas TX; Daniel Hannon of Leesburg, FL; brother, Ken (Adel) Weir of Wildwood, FL, and sister, Martha Lou Barnes of Earlington, KY; 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. Services for Mr. Weir will be Saturday, July 21, 2012 at 10:00 AM ~ The Father's House, Leesburg, FL. On line condolences and memories may be shared by visiting www.bankspagetheus.com.
