Barbara R. Smart's Obituary
Barbara R. Smart, 79, of Coleman, went to be with the Lord, Sunday, October 4, 2020. Mrs. Smart was born July 30, 1941 in Bushnell. She was a member of the Rutland Baptist Church for several years and was very active in the church. Barbara was a retired Office Manager for Home Health and Rehab in Leesburg. She enjoyed sewing, traveling, cooking and hunting. Barbara would bring cookies and other treats for everyone at the hunting camp and always had plenty of company there. Survivors include her loving husband of 59 years, T.L.; daughter, Tammy Slankard (Michael) of Weirsdale; siblings, Forest Rogers and Linda Bethea; grandchildren Brittany Bridges, Ashley Glenn, Taylor Rimes, Zachary Slankard and Justin
Slankard; great-grandchildren, Ryder Wade, Jacob Rasnick, Hope Rasnick and Ricki Farkus. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Velta Rose (Schoolcraft) and James Rogers. Visitation will be 5:00 – 7:00 PM, Friday, October 9, 2020 in the funeral home. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, October 10, 2020 in the Banks/Page-Theus Chapel with interment in Greenwood Cemetery, Wildwood.
