Barbara R. Fessenden's Obituary
Barbara Rae Fessenden passed away July 3, 2010, at Cornerstone Hospice House, The Villages, Fl., after a courageous battle of 3 different cancers. Born Nov. 29, 1933, in Columbus, Ohio to Mabel Potts and Robert Colborn. Barbara loved the Arts in all forms. Classical music and Opera were her favorite and she loved singing in both the Continental Country Club Chorus and her church choir at the United Methodist Church of Wildwood. She was a passionate reader, enjoyed golf, bridge and loved to travel. However, her greatest love was her family and children. She is survived by her husband of 14 years, George; 4 children, 13 grandchildren and one great grandchild; Lynn (Jett) Andrick of Knoxville, Tn., Jerry (LuAnn) Naumoff of Chicago, Il., Lisa (Kenan) Smith of Knoxville, Tn., Scott (Monica) Naumoff of Charlotte, N.C., Alyssa (Will) Acree, Leah (Adam) Gerken, Jared (Whitney) Smith, Daniel Smith, Dean Smith, Alexander, Nicholas, Anthony, Natalia, Mirjana, Marija Naumoff, Matthew and Anna Naumoff and Drew Gerken. Barbara is also survived by her brother, David (Carolyn) Colborn; sister, Donna Seelman and numerous nieces and nephews. Barbara moved to Florida 27 years ago and received her LPN degree. She was employed at WE-CARE Nursing Home for 10 years. A celebration of Barbara’s life will be held 11 AM, Wednesday, July 7, 2010, in the United Methodist Church of Wildwood. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. A special thanks to the nurses and staff at Cornerstone Hospice. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Cornerstone Hospice, 601 Casa Bella, The Villages, Fl. 32162. Arrangements have been entrusted to Banks/Page-Theus Funerals and Cremations, Wildwood.
