Foot Trails of a Life..............
The soul of a boy
At the age of fourteen
Who came to know joy
When the Lord made him clean.
He knew Jesus would bear
All the sin and the guilt;
No more days of despair
His life’d been rebuilt.
A scholar he’d be
Learned to recite the Word
From his father’s knee
To rich sermons you heard.
Met my mom at church,
And they wed in ’62.
No more need to search; Love’s promise came true.
He saw life bring a mix
Of death and life, each;
His parents, his kids
He’d care for and teach.
Grown now are we-
His boy and his girl
Dad helped us to see
God’s love, like a pearl.
Thankful our tears
For the lives he touched
Both in heaven and here
His legacy is such.
And the clouds in the skies
Dust foot trails of one
God now looks in his eyes
And says, “Well done, my son.”
So take up your cross
No fear of the pain;
My dad says, “What loss?
Death is Christ is all gain!”
To a godly father,
Whose faith now has sight.
I love you,
Andrea
