Ann Marie Rubacha's Obituary
Ann Rubacha, 86, of Wildwood, Florida (formerly of Hartford, Connecticut), passed away peacefully surrounded by family.
Born in Hartford, CT, Ann devoted her life to caring for others—with warmth, kindness, and quiet strength. She worked for many years as a secretary for a manufacturing company, but her true legacy lies in the lives she touched outside of work.
Ann was deeply involved with First Christian Church of Wildwood, where she served faithfully for many years and was honored as an Elder Emeritus. Her church family was an essential part of her life, and she found great joy and purpose in service, fellowship, and faith.
Ann had a special gift for recognizing when someone needed a kind word, a hot meal, a listening ear, or simply a hug. She loved to socialize and maintained cherished friendships throughout her life. Her heart was always open to others, and she created a sense of belonging wherever she went.
Ann is survived by her four daughters—Vicki Blanchette, Lori Cheikin, Kim Spiers, and Cindy Vice—as well as her stepson, Anthony Rubacha Jr.; siblings: Stephanie Johnson, Stephen Shuska, and Sheila Gasper and 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren, all of whom brought her immense joy and pride.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 25 years, Anthony Rubacha, and her sister, Carol Rizzuto.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 2nd, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) 6900 Co Rd 468, Wildwood, FL 34785.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ann’s memory to the Memorial and/or Building Fund at First Christian Church, P.O. Box 517, Wildwood, Florida 34785.
Ann's compassion, spirit, and loving presence will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew her.
